Chocolate Smarties Biscuits
Ingredients:
Preparation: 20 mins
Tip:
Those who like it a little less sweet should reduce the amount of sugar. Instead of vanilla sugar, you can also use 1 tsp. of liquid vanilla (as used in the USA).
Those who like variety should also try the biscuits with chocolate drops or chocolate raisins
- 355 g brown sugar

Instructions:
- First mix the brown sugar, butter, vanilla liquid and eggs together in a large bowl. It's easier if you use a mixer. In this case, children should remain beyond arm's length in order to avoid any fingers becoming accidentally caught. Afterwards, add the rest of the ingredients. But not the smarties. They will be added later.
- Now lightly grease a baking tray. The little ones can help here. Give them each a knob of butter and let them race over the baking tray with it. It's guaranteed fun to be allowed to smear butter about without getting into trouble! Afterwards, however, you should wash their hands well with soap.
- Now place one blob of dough after another next to each other on the baking tray. Lightly push them flat. The children can help here, too. But make sure the portions of dough are all roughly the same.
- Lastly, your little kitchen helpers can decorate the blobs of dough however they like with colourful chocolate smarties. Then place them in the oven at 180°C for 10-12 minutes. Should you want them a little browner, just leave them in the oven longer.
